Imagine and Favorite Things

I got behind on the One Year Art Journal prompts, so this week I made it a goal to get caught up.

The first one I missed was "imagine".  When I got to thinking, I realized a lot of my goals right now have to do with fitness.  Of course I have other goals during my year of revival (my one word), but there are a lot of fitness related ones on my list.  This year a coworker and I have made a running list for races that ends with a half marathon in November.  Then I would like to run a full marathon by next June (when I turn 30).  I would also like to do the Warrior Dash, which will take a lot of physical strength as well as endurance.  Plus, I want to be an overall better role model for my children on how to be healthy.

I wanted to document this, and so I made my "imagine" page about fitness.  I wrote "Imagine what fit feels like, then get there." The background is watercolors, and I found the image on Pintrest.

The next prompt was "favorite things".  I put my a random list of favorite things and a list of favorite places.  I used bright colors and glitter on my page, because those are some of my favorite things.  On the left side I wrote more random favorites on the page, and on the right side I wrote about how my life in general is one of my favorite things.
I had to include this pic to show you my cute little helper this morning.  She isn't feeling the best, so when the other two chose to go play at Grandma and Papa's she decided to stay home.  She has been right beside me all morning.
I am enjoying art journaling, because my scrapbook pages are generally about my kids.  This will give them something to look back on to see who mom was (likes, goals, fears, accomplishments, and just general info about me).
